The collision simulator now uses dot product to calculate final momentum vectors. It’s several times faster while using much less code. The checkers AI algorithm has also been improved. I’ve implemented more efficient data structures and heuristic evaluation looks at the change stored the move object itself rather than difference in a total heuristic value for the boards before and after. It can now, in a reasonable amount of time, think to a depth of seven moves, usually totaling between two-hundred thousand and one million possibilities.
Earlier this year I resolved to create a portfolio website after realizing the number of occasions in which an online showcase of my work, mostly focused on computer science, would circumvent the disadvantages of hearsay.
This is a wordpress website with a design somebody else created, though I have dabbled in design and plan on eventually redesigning it myself. I have owned the sg227.com domain for years, originally using it to host files behind a name rather than a static ip address. The sg227 comes from my username on freelancing websites where I obtain work in my free time.
